As a Marine Surveyor & Consultant, I work for individual clients, on behalf of insurance companies and boat builders.

I produce reports that are factual statements on the condition of a vessel at the time of inspection and are dependant upon the type of boat survey commissioned.

A boat is probably the second biggest purchase you are likely to make, so for some peace of mind about your investment you should employ my services as a qualified experienced yacht surveyor.

The Surveyor

I am an Accredited Member YDSA,( Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association ) and work to their Code of Practice.

I try to ensure that a copy of the report is sent out within 72hrs of the survey being completed and more often than not it is sent out within 48hrs. This is in the form of a PDF document sent direct to your computer and a hard copy via 1st class post.

My aim is to provide personal service ensuring that I am always at the end of the telephone to answer any concerns or questions that you may have.

The reports I write contain 3 levels of priority in the recommendations and these are:
1. Bold text indicate recommendations to be investigated/dealt with now, as they are considered to be a structural or a safety issue.
2. Italic text indicate points which will need attention at some point in the very near future.
3. Normal text indicates points that should be carried out and considered to be normal maintenance.

I am trading as a Sole Trader, currently not registered for VAT and have both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurances.
